starshine35 Nikon SB 600: ... have owned a Nikon Speedlight SB 600 flashgun for a few years and use it regularly. It never fails no matter what light condition it is. The i-TTL mode works perfectly with both my Nikon D70 and D700 and it can always get the right light and exposure. The remote control and the little stand which comes with the flashgun is very useful for creative lighting and the automatic light/exposure control works equally we...

sax_man_al Nikon SB 800
... recently this was Nikons top of the range flash. And it still does the buisness. Whether it s lighting up a room, or just filling in a scene this flash will do the trick. Stick it on the camera and it will do it s job without any fuss at all. But if you want to get creative and take control of the flash you can use the manual settings. The instruction manual is comprehensive, and is very useful if you want to get the most out of this flash. Once you have learnt the basics it is a great flash. Comprehensive tilt and swivel so that you can easily bounce the light off surfaces. I have taken photos at a couple of weddings, and I would have been in rather a bit of trou...

beolens Canon Speedlite 430EX II
... have only just become a user of decent flash, preferring in the past to use natural light, or just not take the photo, firstly as I didn t own a decent flash unit and secondly because I preferred the light given off naturally. ... I have written a few reviews on various Sony DSLR`s I have received a few messages asking which flashguns can be used with the Sony DSLR range out with the expensive Sony ones, unfortunately the answer is not many and the reason for this is that Sony use a different hot shoe than al the other manufacturers. There is one thing you can look into though and that is the fact that the old Minolta flashes do fit the Sony hot shoe and although they will not work TTL (through the lens) you can use them in manual mode, for knowledgeable photographers this should not pose a problem but for the less knowledgeable it may take a bit of getting used to. The Minolta 5400HS used t...
