Yamaha YDP-131:
... Yamaha YDP-131 is a budget electric piano that is good enough for a beginner to an advanced player. The quality is not the same as the Yamaha Clavinovas - they are much superior quality. The quality is lacking in the feel of the keys, they feel light and are not hard wearing. If you play heavy music, the keyboard will depreciate and wear within a year. It s still good value for money, with the piano sound being r... Read the full review: Yamaha YDP-131: Budget Electric Piano by owenmmm |

Yamaha Acoustic Grand Pianos ... a graduate of Trinity College of Music, we had many varied pianos at our disposal. Steinways, Bostons, Bechsteins etc. And the pride of the college was indeed a fine, full size Yamaha grand. Really! I hear you exclaim, they only make motorbikes and cheap electric things. What knowledge do they have of centuries of fine instrument making? Infact, they are now a pretty well established maker of pianos, both electric and acoustic. My first few tentative touches upon this grand piano, it offered a very true and exacting touch, quite a joy to feel, as it, in the hands of lesser pianists would cover up any lack of finesse and control. The touch had a distinct and wei... Read the full review: A velvet touch, though not a steinway. by ross29 |

Yamaha Acoustic Upright Pianos ... a manufacturer, Yamaha have been listening to the opinions and suggestions of its staff and consumers a lot recently. When Yamaha released the P200 stage piano, it received good reviews, but also lots of suggestions on how to improve it. Namely, a stage paino would normally be connected to a PA system and so wouldn't need its own speakers, MIDI funtions aren't that important on a stage and 'something lighter would be better'. Yamaha listened, thought about it, and released the P80. The weighted keyboard is as near to a piano a digital instrument gets, with Yamaha's 'Graded Hammer effect' working brilliantly. There are no... Read the full review: Yamaha P-80. Best Piano around by tonyf1 |
