Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: need to be eaten quickly
I buy so many bananas in a week its ridiculous and they aren't cheap. I try to go for the best priced ones if I can and I often pick these up when I am in Tescos.
The pack contains around eight small bananas although this does tend to vary. If they have any less than eight then I usually buy them loose instead because any less that that wouldn't last five seconds in our house. They cost around £1 which is the same as the Asda Smartprice bags of bananas.
These bananas are fine as far as bananas go although they are often showing no signs of being freshly picked from the tree. I prefer to buy my bananas in bulk because we do get through so many so I like to buy a few green ones as well as a few yellow ones. I only tend to pick up one bag of these and will often buy some loose green ones on top because I know if I bought two bags of these then they were be 'dead' before we got around to eating them.
They are sometimes a little bruised but that isn't because they are cheap, most of the bananas I buy regardless of price end up having a few minor injuries.
I use these bananas for all sorts of things including adding them to ice cream, mushing them in some Weetabix for my boys, baking cakes with and the most obvious, eating them straight from the bag!
All in all these are great bananas for those of us on a budget.
Summary: A great little buy!
