Beconase Hayfever Relief Nasal Spray

Yuck, it's hayfever season again and the familiar sneezing and scratchy throat made its first appearance for me this year recently. Whenever this happens I turn to my trusty bottle of Beconase Hayfever Relief Nasal Spray.
Beconase is a nasal spray that not only gives relief from hayfever but also from pet hair and dust allergies. This nasal spray is really easy to use and quite effective for me anyway. You basically just put the thin cone shaped top of the bottle into your nostril and then there is a ledge underneath that allows you to spray the liquid upwards once it is in your nose. The recommended dosage is two sprays into each nostril morning and evening and I find this is enough for me. I always leave a bit of a gap between each spray too, just a few seconds but enough for the liquid to take hold up there and then I go again. Sometimes this action does make me sneeze so if it does I tend to do the spray again as I feel like I have sprayed out all of the goodness. I don't really feel any dripping from my nose and I think this is because the liquid is so concentrated in a fine spray that it just dissolves as soon as it gets to the places it needs to reach. It has quite a sweet smell/taste to it as you can taste a bit in the back of your mouth when you spray this as your ears nose and throat are all connected.
What I like about this spray is that it's non-drowsy so I never feel tired or groggy throughout the day which is nice. Apparently, the substance has an anti-inflammatory action which quickly brings relief from all your symptoms. They do say that it may take two or three days for it to build up its maximum protective effect. I would probably say I have found this to be true. THe first day of spring/summer of that year that I need to start using it is never the best day ever as it is the start of my symptoms but after a while and with constant use I find I can make it through the season virtually unscathed!
Obviously I am not a doctor so I would recommend visiting a doctor for advice before you try any medicine treatment although this is available on shop shelves and you do not need a prescription or anything like that. It's not recommended for children under 18 and I think this is because it contains beclometasone dipropionate, 50 micrograms per spray. A bottle will last for 180 sprays so quite a long time especially if you don't take all the sprays per day. Like I said you can buy it in shops and I generally get mine in Boots for £4.28 per bottle.
