Sun flowers are my absolute favourite flower!

They are so beautiful and so different from most other flowers. Many flowers that you might typically have in a vase on your kitchen table are petite, vary in colour and smell lovely. Sunflowers are none of the above! Why do I like them then? They are just so different and varsatile. They look wonderful in a big tall vase and also lovely growing outside in the garden. Unlike most flowers you don't need a bunch, one sunflower in a vase is sufficient and just as beautiful.

Sun flowers can be so big that they look like smiley happy faces. They almost have a human quality and look so sad when the sun isn't out and they turn their heads to the floor and droop their petals- arh.

Have you ever seen anything more lovely than a field of sun flowers when the sun is shining? Simpley lovely! They are also very easy to grow. Plant one in your garden and you will almost never be disappointed. Be careful when the wind blows though as the seeds spread easily and you might end up with more sunflowers than you bargained for!
