Sad really when you think about it. However, it is essential to make one of your biggest pastimes as enjoyable as possible and it does not come much better than 42 inches of Plasma screen. I had not really thought about one of these silly GIANT tellys before. A waste of money I exclaimed, pointing out the lifespan of the screen (about 60,000 hours max) and the rediculously huge price tag. That was until I visited a friends house. He too has a small house so space is at a premium. I was therefore shocked at how much bigger his lounge looked with his new 37 inch Plasma TV on the wall. Thats right. On the Wall. So there was my first selling point. Space saving. Gone would ...

Size never used to matter. At least not once you got up to 32". in the good old days 32" was pretty much all you ever needed - and a good job too because anything bigger weighed near 100kg and would destroy most TV cabinets! With the advent of flat panel displays and projectors, all that changed. Now size does matter because you can go all the way up to a ridiculous 70" screen or, with a projector, the wall s the limit! But why would anyone want a bigger screen than they might already have? Well for a start, there are a lot more native widescreen broadcasts than there used to be - films and football matches in particular benefit from this, after all ...
