My Wife and I were getting ready to celebrate our wedding anniversary (48 years) when we decided to treat ourselves to a new television; after all we had our existing one for more years than I care to remember.
Of we went shopping for a TV, we eventually arrived at a well known TV retailer, this after many visits to large and small stores, and very tired feet.
After much checking and testing we eventually decided on the Hitachi 42PD6600 HD ready, slim and flat screen.
Some days later the store made its delivery to us along with a gentleman who was going to show us all the basics, and was also going to set up the TV correctly to avoid any future call out's, we thought this was a good free service to offer.
The total cost for this at that time, including for a very nice black glass TV table was
Around £1300-00.
Since the above 3years plus have past we have never had any need to call out anybody to
carry out any repairs, or adjustments to this equipment. The picture quality is still excellent, of course the later models have improved beyond recognition, and the technology is much more advanced.
If anybody is looking for a good robust modern TV that has reduced in price but is still available, I would recommend giving serious consideration to the Hitachi 42PD6600.
As I have stated this set is HD ready, this of course gives a brilliant and detailed picture.
