I have the best looking tv around but I don't mind if you have one too.
I only have good things to say about this LG plasma.
I bought it from Currys (£650) around the time of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and now that we approach the 2012 London Olympics the tv continues to look good in my front room. When switched off the slim, black glass fronted screen is not a dust trap. As the front is covered by a flat sheet of glass there is no lip to catch dust or cause a shadow that might distract the eye, it really does look fine when it is switched off. Of course in our house the tv is hardly ever switched off and the picture quality has always been better than good. After almost four years it performs like new and I am so pleased with the decision I made to go for an LG plasma.
We watch Virgin HD and also have an Xbox 360. Suprisingly, even now, we are not in a freeview area. The HD picture is perfect, it is seriously clear and bright and of course there are all sorts of ways to play with the picture quality if you want to mess with those sort of things.
Over Christmas I needed to move the TV upstairs and two of us could do this easily and I was not worried at all as the tv does not feel fragile.
Blacks are black, ghost images do not exist and only if you sit in the wrong place are reflections a problem. However if you do have a lot of windows then a plasma may not be for you. I do have windows at both ends of my living room and it is not a problem.
The 42PG6000 is a 42" HD Ready Plasma TV with built in Digital Freeview and frame-less design.
