I purchased this TV back in november 2006. It was my first Plasma / HD ready TV, and I loved it (after going from a 42" Rear projection TV) My first impressions were wow! . It makes me giddy now thinking just how great this TV was for it s price. I paid around £1,200 for the set, plus another £300 for a stand and surround sound kit. At the time of purchase I didn t have a HD source, but an xbox 360 was quickly aquired to test out the HDMI connectivity. Standard definition (SD) was great using the in built freeview, and the High definition (HD) was just amazing, which had an maximum output of 720p. The speakers on the set weren t great for watching films or playing ...

they used to be so I though it would be nice to able to watch the goggle box without having to don my glasses (much as I look darned good in them). The world of Plasma TV is a large one these days with plenty of choice around. In fact, even 42” Plasma is out of date what with 50” now freely available and the size just keeps getting bigger! (stop sniggering at the back there) The debate I had around the right TV to choose was around brand, price and whether to go for plasma or LCD.
