because experience has learned me that almost no television can hold up to my high standards (especially Philips LCDs have been extremely disappointing in quality, BEWARE! of that inferior brand). However my skepticism was completely put aside once I turned on the tv. I was literally floored by the amazing picture quality and the volume and clarity of the speakers on this tv. This is the BEST tv that has EVER been produced, bar none. The colors are so vivid that you will literally there in the sports arena, and the sound is so real, that you look around your livingroom to see where the featherball landed. too long ago, my parents decided that they needed to purchase a new TV for the front room. Our previous flat screen had decided to burn holes throughout the screen in random places, so we needed to get rid and get a new one in. My dad is a bit of a techie (unlike me) and tends to search for ages to make sure he purchases the best TV for the best price etc, its annoying he takes so long, but it s usually worth it in the end, despite having to wait ages and continue watching TV on a tiny 19" monitor.
