I purchased this TV over two years ago and can highly recommend it in terms of performance and appearance. Initial set up was very easy and straightforward - I declined the offer of the store to set up the television for a fee and elected to complete the set up myself. This was the right decision as the complete set up and installation, including the assembly of the stand, took less than two hours. The picture quality is absolutely excellent; extremely clear and highly focussed both in normal and High Definition resolution. The television and stand together make a very attractive focal point in the room. The stand and glass shelves easily accomodate a DVD Player and a digital satellite receiver with ease. The Remote Control is neat and compact and is extremely easy to use. The sound quality is perfectly acceptable and more than sufficient for the average living room.
