Bought this TV last year, in fact early last year and it looked the biz as soon as it came out of the box. Fortunately my supplier delivered, did all the minor assembly of stand, etc, cabled all the kit up (including my DVD and PVR) and tuned everything in. I did have to help the guy carry it in and it was heavy so definitely a two man job.
The Panasonic has a marvelous picture; colours like you wouldn't believe and sound nice too. Fiddling with the many setting options does produce results but to be honest I haven't really taken the time to suss out as to what's best.
However after 6 or 7 months the whole thing fell about our ears; switch on one night and nothing, dead as a dodo!!! After an evening of watching TV on a postage stamp sized portable, the repair man arrived and duly took the moribund hulk away but he did leave a brand new Sharp 42" LCD as reasonable replacement. Just as well too as our set had to go back to Panasonic's workshop for repair and test. Was away for a couple of weeks which wasn't great.
Now it's back and we have no problems since then so fingers crossed it was just one of those exceptions to Panasonic's otherwise record for reliability and quality so everyone is telling me, "you were just unlucky".
