It's about the taste of the consumer if they like it or not.

Here's a few rather major caveats (I'm not trying to suggest this is the best TV ever), I'm not exactly a TV fanatic, I don't have a Blu-ray player, I don't have Sky or cable (there's little prospect of me ever having any of them). I've only bought the TV because my venerable old Sony Trinitron CRT went pop. If it hadn't, I wouldn't have bought anything. I've not got any spare cash to indulge in anything much.

However, for the £325 I've just coughed up for one of these screens, I doubt I could have done much better, certainly not at 40" plus. It may not do for the consumer, but there will be a host of folks out there that it will be a fantastic and cost effective buy for. Despite what some folks, that are obvious enthusiasts, think, not everyone cares that much about extracting the nth degree of performance or the very latest toys/formats. The prospect of dropping £400, let alone £1000+, doesn't actually appeal to too many. Given the usual plasma caveats (no bright rooms), this TV is well worth the consideration of the budget conscious and/or average, non-tech head, buyer.
When I consider that there are sound bars selling for double the price of this TV, I can't quite fathom how they do it for such a low price. but I think I want one on my bedroom just for a quick view before I sleep or before go to work to take a peek on the news.
