      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A good all-rounder

We bought this television earlier this year after our Samsung HD was relegated to one of the bedrooms because the glass/plastic surround got too scratched (from using the incorrect cleaning products!!)
We did a lot of research before we bought because we wanted to get it right!! and picture and sound quality is sooo important to us.
Panasonic brand has won a Which award three times for picture and sound quality I believe, so this was an important positive factor for us in our decision making.
We had the set for a good price, it was on offer in our local Panasonic outlet and we asked them to install it for us because it was such fun(NOT) installing the previous one, although all of the cables were still in place.
The TV has proved to be better than the Samsung in my opinion in terms of picture quality certainly and the built in Freesat is far more responsive and far easier and quicker to use.
It does not have picture in picture if that is an important feature to you, (it is certainly one that wee have missed surprisingly) but apart from that the other features are intuitive and easy to find from the menus.
We have it mounted on a wall bracket, but that is no mean feat to accomplish, luckily it was done for us, but if you are DIY I would suggest 2 others to help you!!
All in all a lovely picture and sound ok.....

      Highly recommended ,

We had a 42" panasonic hd ready tv for a few years , and when sky brought out the sky hd we thought we would upgrade to a full hd tv, we did our homework and eventually after reading dozens of reviews , we decided on panasonic 50" it had got rave reviews and we had also got to the smaller version which is still going strong around 7 years later. The Tv itself is extremely heavy it does come with a pedestal but we purchased and wall bracket so we could have more room, getting it on the bracket with just me and my husband was and effort itself, but well worth. The picture quality is second to none , especially on the hd channels that show the wildlife programs , the picture is so sharp that you almost feel like you are there. i remember managing and advertisement once for the new simpsons ride in florida they actually showed the ride and i actually found myself tilting side to side along with the ride, it was a very weird sensation. The tv looks the business and is certainly not a high sore , it goes very nicely with our surround side av receiver and sky hd box. It also comes with built in freesat but we don't tend to bother with much as we have got satalite and are able to watch one channel whilst recording on another. We are no eagerly awaiting more hd channels , and are now debating which Blu ray player to get to compliment it further.
Highly recommended for all serious hd geeks like we are,
