Rating:
Bought the Samsung PS42A457 because we needed a new TV for the living room (plus I was getting sick of the old 5ft deep TV that we had). I shopped around for a while and looked at lots of brands from Sony to Samsung. I wanted something that looked great but could also delivery on the goods. I picked the Samsung PS42A457 because it was big, slick and the performance is second to none. I have my sky HD and my ps3 linked into it. Its comes on a swivel stand so you can rotate the TV itself to suit your position. Standard ports behind the TV such as scart, HDMI etc For those of you planning to use this as a PC monitor as well, it certainly does the job through a standard ...

comes with a detailed manual for using and operating the TV. The remote can be programmed to work with your brand-name digital box and DVD/VHS player, so no need for additional remotes lying around with batteries to buy. The remote s buttons are clearly marked and are even given in braille by the side. I ve had this TV for quite a while now and despite extensive cleaning instructions in the manual, the screen has remained dust free and the only maintenance that is required is a quick wipe of the base when it gets dusty. An expensive product, but good quality and will ...

I had been putting off the day of replacing my fairly large conventional CRT television with a modern flat screen. As it was already a 32", there was little point in going smaller. and based on a permutation of price, room size and practicality. I plumped for this one. There are others by Samsung that seem very similar, but the decision was partially taken for me by John Lewis, where I had some vouchers to burn, and that they gave a 5 year warranty as basic. (Although figures of up to 20years life expectation are quoted, I just don t believe). I basically chose this make because of the picture. The pundits say that the Panasonic is better, but I simply liked the look ...
