I bought this TV in-between the SD and HD phase where everyone upgraded, and then along came HD DVD's and soon after, Blu-ray. This then is only 720p but that is enough. Its not ultra sharp definition but it is still pretty good. You start to notice little tiny details when watching films on this, things like ladybirds on flowers and small insects on the forest floor when you watch a nature programme. Water reflections appear much clearer too. On my SD TV i saw a blob as a reflection but now when i watch the same thing on this, i can make out facial details like eyelashes.
Its a shame the speakers are not very good, it lets the TV down overall. You get good picture but the speakers have a lot of trouble with music and especially music with lots of thuds and bass. Things like a lion roaring does not have the same power it should, its more like a shouting lion than a roaring one. It is quite loud though, i guess this makes up for it?
You have 2 HDMI slots at the back and one scart but if you want to add more you can because adapters can be fitted. Its a great TV and i have enjoyed watching my favourite films on it, but i wish i just waited for a much better one to come out with 1080p
Summary: Its good but a 1080p is better
