its not all bad news for this 50" monster for a start it looks impressive, it s as big as a wall. The design is great and would look neat in any front room, if you can fit it in. The TV offers a technology dubbed Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio by Samsung; this basically creates a bigger difference between the darkest colours and lightest colours this makes it more realistic. They also brag about being able to deliver hundred of billions of colours. Using the remote you can control all other Samsung products connected via HDMI this means the ease of use for your entire set up could be vastly improved, providing you have other Samsung products. selling tvs this size almost identical at around £800! I was in desperate need of a knew tv and wanted soemthing big. And this is big all right a whopping 50 inches of tv screen! The tv looks fairly good on the wall too. Very stylish and up to date. However it is quite chunky and it sticks out a bit but not too much from the wall. Apart from the that I think it looks really good. The picture quality on this thing is fairly good but its not 1080p which I was quite dissappointed in. 720p is still good though. A major problem I have is that some dvds it doesn t play very well as they are copies. The images are very blurred and I didn t get this problem on my small tv in ...

I bought this 42" S Samsung TV for the student chill our area where I work - I got it for the very reasonable price of £497 from Amazon in September. I also got wall brackets to attach it to the wall, and it looks great - just the right size for the size of the room. The picture and sound is brilliant, and there is built in freeview which was easy enough to tune in - I haven t had any problems with the signal either.
