This is another of my playmobil favourites, I always look on the back of the box to see how many bits you get (every box always has pictures of each item included on the back) to decide if it's value for money and this certainly is. This is around about £18 from Toys r us, you can get online cheaper but you have to weigh up the postage and packing costs on top. My daughter has had great fun with her playmobil so this was an added bonus one christmas. It comes in bits so it takes a bit of working out to put it together but we got there in the end. You can leave the main part put together so we don't have to keep taking it apart. So there ... Read the complete review

The Playmobil Ice Cream Parlour Super Set retails for £16.99 - £19.99 depending on where you shop. As far as Playmobil sets go, this one has a lower than usual price in my opinion. Better still, we didn't actually pay a penny for ours as it came as part of a Toys R Us promotion just before Christmas! Our set was free when we spent £40 on other Playmobil products which we had already intended on buying. This is a reasonably sized box which makes for a sizeable present. It's a little bigger in size than some of the other supersets which I've seen, and it definitely contains a better variety of accessories than most Playmobil items within this price range do. ... We acquired this Playmobil Icecream Parlour over Christmas, it was part of a promotion at Toysrus and came "free" with £40 of playmobil, which was our children's Christmas present. It normally retails at around £15-18. The Superset is part of the "Life in the City" range and is designed to go with other sets - studs on the back wall of the counter will allow it to be fitted to other shops, but it also works as a stand alone item. What you get: The superset is fairly quickly assembled by Playmobil standards, you get a baseplate which is 20cm by 30cm, and contains the counters and customer area, as seen on the zoomable ... I like playmobil for small world play, I grew up on it, so was pleased when my son, who is constantly talking about ice-cream shops, received this for Christmas. The set contained two adult playmobil characters, one child, a bike, a base with shop on it, two chairs, a table, various spoons, ice creams (4 in bowls, 2 in ice creams), teapot and cups. My son is three and a half when he has played with this, which was slightly younger than the recommended age of 4 and up. Pros- - For my son, this was a real life situation that he could rehearse and play with, it is one of his favourite toys. - The base means it's easier to put things upright on than ...
