Recommended if You Have the Zoo or Similar

Playmobil set 4465: Zoo Sealife Water Crocodile Keeper is an addition to existing Playmobil sets rather than a set on it's own I'd say. It retails at around £4, and we got this as part of a bumper Water Zoo lot from Playmobil Direct so effectively probably only paid a pound or two for it. In all honesty, I'd be annoyed if I had to pay any more than that for something so small!

Inside the box you can expect to find the items pictured above - and nothing else. This set literally just includes an alligator (or crocodile if you prefer) and a zoo keeper with a fork for pinning the alligator with, and a rope for catching him in too. That's your lot.

So, as far as Playmobil accessories go, okay - it looks nice. But does it really serve a purpose? Not really. But I guess the advantage to buying a set like this is that you can buy it to add a single alligator to your zoo, and not have to fork out for the full size alligator tank. I guess that really that's what these sets are designed for, but as you get plenty of people in all the larger Playmobil sets, I think I'd rather they sold the alligator on it's own really. Or sold a pair of alligators even. They sell people on their own, but Playmobil are quite crafty not to go selling too many animals on their own - just in case you notice how shockingly expensive they work out to be!

On the plus side, the expense does come with some nice details, and the alligator is very realistic. He's got an open mouth, and scales textured all down his back too. The Playmobil person is a pretty standard Playmobil affair too so you can expect him to have fully functioning joints and lots of details too.

A nice addition if you've got a zoo and don't want to buy the large alligator set to go in it, but not a play set on it's own. After you've chased the alligator around a few times with the giant fork - you're all out of play appeal.
