Playmobil - Woman with Puppies 4687
My little one has recently got into Playmobil and so we have bought her (along with friends and family) many little items of Playmobil as well as allowing her to spend a little money on the pocket money range which ranges from £3.00 to £6.00 when she has been exceptionally good. One of the latest items she has bought in this range we bought online for £2.99 though this can range up to £5.99 as seen on Amazon at time of writing.
The set, as you might guess, is a small set which comprises of one adult female, three puppies and their food bowls.
The set is in the 'special' range which means that it is only on the shelves for a small period of time, though it can always be found online and quite often at a reduced price.
The adult female person in the set is like all modern playmobil people with a head which turns, hands which turn and grasp on to certain objects, and legs which bend at the waist. She has long blonde hair in a ponytail and is wearing a fashionable blue top with writing on it, white trousers and red shoes - none of which can be taken off.
Thee three dogs all have movable heads with one black dog and two brown ones.
You also get a small red food bowl and a silver canister. These items are quite small so be wary of small children and babies playing with this set. The age range is four years plus which is suitable.
For the price we got this set at, I would say that it is a lovely little addition, and my little one loves it, especially as she loves all forms of animals.
I would certainly recommend this to all who love Playmobil.
Finding pocket money toys for my three year old son that are great fun but also good quality and are not going to break by the end of the day is a difficult task. We have many times bought rubbish toys and yes my son's get a few hours of enjoyment out of them but they soon end up broken and cluttering the bottom of the toy box waiting to be thrown when I have a good clear out. So since the summer we have promised no more rubbish and we have kept to it. It has been a task but for our three and a half year old we have come across very small Playmobil sets, a favourite of my son's being the first we came across the woman with puppies (set number 4687).
The woman with puppies set is a very small set with only six items within it. The set includes the woman which is the usually over sized (in my opinion) adult at 7.5cms in height, a plain black dog, a plain beige dog and a beige and brown patch dog, a small red bowl and a small plain grey can. As always with Playmobil there is certainly another detail in the very small accessories. All three of the dogs have heads that move so they can be bent down to feed from them bowl. Two of the dogs are stood up on all four legs and the plain beige one is sat down. Although most of the contents are small they feel like good quality items in your hands and so far have remained liked new.
Although there is very few items to this set it has provided a lot of fun for my son. He is three and a half years old and although we don't have any pets he loves animals. He loves caring for his three miniature dogs and adds them to any type of play. He loved making names up for them and from time to time changes them. Playmobil in general is fantastic for imaginative play and aids them. This set is no different my son has the animals in all places. I have found them fantastic to take on the move with us as I slip them into a small bag and pop them in my handbag. They especially come to good use when he is bored sat in a pub or restaurant waiting for his tea. The dogs have a good adventure on a table hiding behind mats and menus!
My only negative to this set is the other sized cardboard box they come in. The front of the box has a great fun picture of the women feeding her three puppies and would instantly attract any young child to it. But for someone who isn't familiar with Playmobil would be made to believe the contents were bigger than they actually were due to the size of the box. Although we still have the box we rarely use it and I prefer to keep them in a small bag as it takes up less room in my handbag. On the back of the box is a box with the contents on it and the size of the actual person.
Playmobil is generally recommended for ages four years plus this particular set has a warning it isn't suitable for children under three years old. I would say this is very true. Apart from the people Playmobil accessories are on the very small size and could be very easily swallowed by a small child. I do have a younger son who is two years old so Playmobil has to be kept out of the way. My eldest son is three and a half and I feel he is old another to play with it now as he loves playing out little scenes with his new pets and they keep him entertained for a good length of time.
As I mentioned this particular set was bought with pocket money my son received from grandparents. We purchased it from our local 'Entertainers' toy shop and it cost my son three pounds. I have felt it has been three pound well spent. Not only would it be ideal to add to other larger Playmobil sets but it is great fun on its own and is ideal for on the move. My son loved the fact he could actually buy something fun with his pocket money.
