I bought this for my son for Christmas and managed to pick it up for 75 pounds which now looks like a real bargain as its gone up to 100 now, so what do you get for your money?
Well first off its playmobil which in itself tells you it's a quality, sturdy well made product.
Its a fantastic 3 turret castle withe multi levels of spiral staircases complete with lanterns , it's got a trap door (easy button operated) which leads any of the 4 supplied knights unfortunate enough to fall in to a secret dungeon equipped with its very own skeleton. The dungeon itself opens up from one of the staircases to reveal the horrors within (and so the knights and whatever else your little one throws in there can escape!). There's a great looking draw bridge (lever operated)style door to the right of the castle to conceal those sneaky hidden ememies aswell! The knights come well armed with plenty of helmets, shields, swords, bows etc ( the detail really is good). The top of the castle is adorned with a flashing fiery beacon (requires aa battery) and circling up high above what dragon castle would be complete without the actual dragon? This bright red fearsome looking dragon has moving wings mouth and tongue. Now you might wonder how your child will slay said dragon? well playmobil have it covered with a large ballista crossbow with flaming arrows ( I got these to fly about 6 feet!!) .
So that's what is in the box sorry if I got carried away it really is a good toy and I love playing with this with my son. Great for imaginative play it even comes with a little knights badge for your child to wear.
It measures up at a whopping 59.9 cm x 20.1 cm x 50 cm and weighs 3.5 Kg so it is quite impressive once assembly...
Now assembly ... It is easy to assemble and instructions are fine but there's a lot of parts so make it up the night before if it's an Xmas or birthday present because your child ma get board waiting it will take roughly 45 mins.
It's is only suitable for 5+ because of the small parts
As I've already said the toy is great my lad loves it and we play with it for hours on end its his favourite toy at the minute and I can understand exactly why. Now don't hold me to this but it looks almost unbreakable as many playmobil product are and believe me my son has been rough enough so I can say in all honesty this toy will last and repays a rather large out lay with hours of entertainment . Only downside is that it can be partially taken apart by your child so don't be surprised if you end up rebuilding some of it over and over. I teamed this predicts up with the matching battering ram and knight set which I would also recommend to complete the set
