As far as fast-paced action series go, "24", the Keifer Sutherland-led drama with the nifty gimmick of plotting a story over 24 consecutive hours told in real time episodes, is hard to pass if you like your TV to be both edge-of-your-seat tense and utterly ludicrous. So it is really no surprise that Sony has taken the opportunity to convert the popular show into the snappily titled "24: The Game" for Playstation 2. The plot of the game takes place between series 2 and 3, and is basically like a lost season of the show. At the time I was playing it I had only seen the first series (I know, I am really far behind!), but following the intricacies and ... Read the complete review

24 The Game is an action game for the Playstation 2 developed by Sony. The storyline takes place before the third season of the show and so provides some fanservice as you find out about how Chase joined up with Jack Bauer and how his daughter Kim came to work for CTU. The games plotline is the typical struggle between Jack Bauer and those who would do the USA harm and is as gripping as some of the TV shows plot lines and involves multiple characters from the actual show to hook you in. The gameplay is a good mix of shooting scenes, driving and other minigames. The shooting is what you will be doing most often and for the most part works quite well, ... Read the complete review

Before getting to the review of the game, I should mention that I am a huge, huge fan of 24: The TV Show. I bought this game full of extremely high expectations. This may have clouded my judgement a little. On balance, I was somewhat disappointed with 24: The Game. It does have some good points, however, and I'll list them here: 1) The graphics are excellent. The backdrops are very realistic, and the characters features are smooth and rounded rather than blocky and exaggerated. 2) The sound quality is very good. The makers hired the man who does the music for the TV show to do the music for the game and I think you get a more ... Read the complete review

Time for Jack Bauer to spring into action and this time you get to control him. Well for a bit of background, anyone who does'nt know what 24 is must have been livingunder a rock for the past 6 years. As a fan of the show I was intrigued to see how this game would pan out, after a long list of games being made based on TV shows and Movies that have been disappointment after diappointment, this had potential of being a cracker. The graphics are pretty good, they're not like Metal Gear solid good but certainly nice to look at and give the game a nice look in general, the presentation is cool and harks back to the way the TV show is presented. There are 100 ... Read the complete review
