Yet another great game from Acclaim. Aggressive Inline allows you to play as real-life characters and improve their abilities as you play. You can also unlock hidden characters by completing the levels.
In order to complete the levels, you must complete all the challenges in that level. Some are hard, some are really easy. There is a challenge for everyone. The most common challenges involve getting a certain number of points. For completing challenges, you are given rewards. Each challenge is given points according to how hard it is. Getting 8 of these points unlocks another level. Get another load of these points and you get editor pieces for your own park and special loading screens (that look like comic book drawings).
Another great feature is the ability to improve your characters statistics. These are things like Grind and Jump. One way to improve these is to do tricks with high scores. Or you can complete a level.
In every level there are three collectable items, a key to unlock a hidden area in another level, a special trick in the form of a characters head (not always the one you're playing as),
and a statistic that levels it up.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes skating games. There is a 15+ rating, but there is no swearing.
Aggressive Inline is the first aggrsseive skating game for any console, ever, period. It's also ace. Plenty of skaters, and massive levels make for a long completion time. Each level is packed with missions, some of which are locked and some which you have to get from people walking around. Obviously, some are easier than others and the tough ones are very tough. This game also has great graphics and the innovative 'Juice Bar', which means that there's no time limit on the main one player mode. The juice bar starts off half full, and you have to keep it full by pulling tricks as you go along. If it runs out, its game over, and you must spend some of your hard earned points to start again. Also, if you keep it filled for long enough, you enter a kind of hyper mode, which allows you to skate faster, jump higher, etc. There are also juice fillers hidden around the levels to boost your bar. You can also level up different aspects of your charater as you go. For example, you can level up your jump ability by, yep, you guessed it, jumping. Same for the other aspects, manuals, spin, speed, etc. Another nice feature is the ability to find special tricks hidden around the levels, instead of being able to do them straight away, such as in Tony Hawks. Aggressive Inline also comes with the pretty generic multiplayer mode;trick attack, horse etc, but these are still fun and challenging and, as with most multiplayer modes, beating your mate is the best bit. A great game.
From the creators of Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX comes the next great sports experience, Aggressive Inline. Work your way up through the career mode by pulling off the most insane stunts possible. Use your entire surroundings to perform tricks and stunts like 540¦ misty flips, acid soul grinds, rocket air grabs or pipe spine manuals--it's your choice.
