This version of the slippery puzzler is the latest in a string of titles. Firstly there was wetrix for the N64, which incidentally also made an appearance on the Dreamcast. Why has the wetrix series been so popular? Well firstly it is a prime example of pure gameplay. This combined with a annoying, yet addictive soundtrack, forms a game that simply cannot be put down. Aqua aqua, thanks to the power of PS2, is the most graphically impressive game in the series. However can you honestly say that graphics and gameplay alone constitute a good game? Well in my opinion, yes. Even gameplay alone can produce a good game; just think about “Tetris” ... Read the complete review

Aqua Aqua for the Playstation 2 is the sequel to the hit puzzle game Wetrix on the N64 (which also made an appearance as Wetrix+ on the Dreamcast). Wetrix was popular because it sported simple gameplay, a good dose of depth and an undeniably cute theme. Aqua Aqua is definitely the best looking game to date in the puzzle series—but a successful puzzle game relies on more than visuals. Is Aqua Aqua a mere rehash of the original, or is it a worthy successor to the gameplay set forth by Wetrix? Aqua Aqua Wetrix is the millennium version of Tetris. Those days are out numbered when you used to play Tetris on your one coloured Gameboy Screen. Now you have A.A.Wetrix on the almighty Playstation 2. The idea is simple, you have different shaped blocks flying out the sky, but that’s not all, and you then are presented with rainfall clouds that you have to trap within your blocks. It might sound pretty rubbish but if you like puzzle games then you will be hooked and that’s guaranteed. One of the best things about this game is that it’s the first game in the PS2 range to cost under £20. For that amount you can’t even enjoy a pizza, so why ... Read the complete review

This game may be aimed at the younger market but for any die-hard gamers enjoyment can be found. The basic of the game consist of dropping different shaped blocks ( like tetris in 3D enviroment, viewed from an isometric perspective) which form walls when dropped on to the landscape below. You have to drop them so that you build lakes to place your water droplets in. Aim of the game is too survive for as long as possible scoring as many point as you can. The game is a good laugh for a couple of weeks but does get boring and therefore there is not much longitivity with this gmae. Graphics are what you expect from a ps2 puzzeler. Gameplay depends on what you ... Read the complete review

Basicly this game starts of a a square block on the screen. Different commands appear for you to use: build landscape up: place this on the grid undo landscape: digs holes drop water: drop water onto landscape. The idea is that you build the land really high then drop the water on it. The water is not allowed to run off the end. There are some commands that just get in the way. Drop bomb: puts small hole through land ice: freezes all water on land fire: dries up water, unfreezes ice All the time you are playind "earthquake" is displayed a the bottom of the screen. As you continue through the game it ... Read the complete review
