Batman Begins (PS2) ... / Step into the shadows of Gotham City's perilous criminal underworld as DC Comics' legendary Dark Knight in the Batman Begins video game. The game explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. Gamers will play as both Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego, Batman, hunting evil-doers from the shadows, using strength, intellect and an array of high tech gadgets to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city, including classic villains the Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul and Carmine Falcone. Turning traditional stealth-based gameplay on its ear - by allowing gamers to play the hunter, rather than the hunted - Batman Begins delivers the Batmanuniverse as never before.

... Batman himself and is largely a stealth based game, the combat has a puzzle element to it as most enemies will be armed with guns and Batman has no superpowers so is vulnerable to bullets. To get the jump on these enemies you will have to scare them , you can use your batarang to burst pipes and explode barrels as well as use gas grenades and the like to terrify them! Then you can swoop in and take them out with your fists, Batman has quite a few brutal combos and if you can sneak up on an enemy you can perform a st...more

Premium Review Batman Begins (PS2): Control your enemies with Fear! (409 words)

Rating:

Batman Begins is an action game for the Playstation 2 developed by EA Games. The game follows the storyline of the movie pretty faithfully following a young Bruce Wayne having his parents murdered and being all frightened and then learning to overcome his fear and then use that fear against his enemies as he becomes the Batman. All the major villains from the film are present from the Scarecrow to Rahs Al Ghul. Though most of the story is present it doesn't really go in depth so you will have to watch the movie to get the full and complete experience. The game has you take control of Batman himself and is largely a stealth based game, the combat has ...  Read the complete review

Batman begins on the playstation two. This game is more of a stealth style game, similar to tenchu for those of you who are familiar with it. In this game, you get points for steathily taking out opponents, and for each oponenet taht you take out steathily, you instill "fear" into the remaining foes, so stealth is a big aspect of this game. Also, you can "interigate" foes, which not only gets you bonus points, but is very cool, as you can dangle people from ledges, and choke them in order to find bits of different imformation that helps you along with you level. A very good game, realistic and action packed! Although don't expect to be able to take on ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Batman Begins (PS2): Btman hardly begins to excite (397 words)

This is not a bad game but the problem is that it does not provide enough of a challenge to make it a really good game. The plot of the game does follow that of the movie and they have even included voice overs from most of the cast however I have always viewed such things as nice to have rather than an essential component of the gaming experience. The game kicks off with you getting your ninja training before returning to Gotham City where a new drug is sweeping the city and you are out gto bring those behind it to justice. The big problem with this game is that I found it very repetitive, in order to vanquish your foes you tend to find ...  Read the complete review
