Advantages: fun, with britney, long lifespan, good muliplayer

Disadvantages: look gay if you have it, quite tacky in production

One of my good mates bought Britney's Dance Beat for his sister about a year ago. I like to consider myself a good gamer enjoy games like: need for speed underground, GTA, SSX tricky. When he brought the game he had a go to see what it was like. He said he really enjoyed it, I said, "No, its obviously rubbish, you just have to press the buttons when you are asked to. He ignored what i said and honestly believed that it is a good game.

Him being of slight musical ability and me of none ment that when he finally forced me to play, which took a few weeks, he beat me very convincingly. I tried again and again but could not get past the first level. It seemed that however much I tried I could be no good. I soon realised that I could not even feel the beat of the rythmic britney songs. To me for the first time I had found a truly challenging game that I can never be good at.

My friend on the other hand thouroughly enjoys the game and has been able to move up the levels and complete a perfect score with practice. To me this game is more appealing that most people think because it actually involves a real life skill. The game itself consists of a cotched up story mode and multiplayer or practice modes. On these modes you are able to pick from six your favourite britney song and tap the buttons along with it in time ijn order to score points. Some of the songs are harder than other and there are four different levels you can pick from.

On an easy level and song even I have a chance of doing ok, but when moving up the levels and songs it does soon get very difficult. Instead of just the fur main buttons, XOsquaretriangle, there are also directions. Also they move to different positions in the last minute. When playing a multiplayer game the gaming actually gets suprisingly intense and maximum concentration is needed along with dead silence in order to decifer the beat from a less than good track.

Overall although the game is a bit
tacky and has not great songs to listen to on, me and my mate like it because the gameplay is great, the lifespan is long and a nice animation of britney dancing on the screen always cheers me up.
