"Chaos Bleeds" is the second Buffy the Vampire Slayer game to be produced as part of the franchise from the now finished but still highly popular TV show. The previous release was simply titled "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", but as I am only a recent convert to this syndicate, then I'll have to admit to never having played it (so no comparisons, I'm afraid). This game, as the name well suggests, is centred around the characters in the show and has been marketed heavily towards fans of Buffy rather than fans of action games in general. There is no good reason for non-viewers of the show not to enjoy playing this game, but those who did watch it ... Read the complete review

Having been out of the game playing arena for some years I was toying with the idea of getting a PS2. Then I saw this game being played when it was released, and as a Buffy fan it was the last nudge I needed. One shopping trip and wallet emptying exercise later I had a shiny new PS2 and a handful of games. As you will know yourself, a fan of anything will buy anything associated with it no matter how rubbish it maybe. So what's the game like? The storyline is set sometime Season Five-ish, though isn't based on any particular episode. Ethan Rayne has had a run in with The First and needs to enlist the help of the Slayer in fighting it. She and ... Read the complete review

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is well known for the film and the extremely popular TV series set in Sunnydale (the hellmouth), USA, however in recent years Buffy has also been released and the X Box and the Playstation 2 as games. The first game was called “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” … simple enough! The second game, which is the one I am going to review for you know is called “Buffy The Vampire Slayer – Chaos Bleeds” This game was released on both X Box and Playstation 2. I will be reviewing the Playstation 2 version. *** Chaos Bleeds *** Buffy The Vampire Slayer – Chaos Bleeds was originally written as an episode of Buffy for season 5, however ... I found this game on Play.com for £9.99 so I thought I'd give it a look. I hadn't really looked at this game before so I didn't really know what to expect. The game is a role play game in the 3rd person, just how I like them! I can't stand games which look through the eyes of the character, the movement of the game is too fiddley and doesn't flow too good for me. Anyway, back to the point (I'm pretty sure I had one?!), Buffy. The story links in with the TV series from around the 5th season I think. So Willow is a lesbian, Anya is a non-demon, Spike has a chip in his head so he can't hurt humans, Faith is back on the side of the goodies, Buffy still ... Read the complete review
