Premium Review Bully (PS2): Grange Hill meets GTA (547 words)
by - written on 16/02/09 (Very useful, 15 readings)
Rating:

I have to start this by stating that I am not a particular fan of Rockstar. My first experience with the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series was via Vice City. Whilst I loved the atmosphere of the game, I found the actually game engine was awful and extremely limited, especially when compared with the depth in the likes of Shenmue. As a result, I approached Bully with trepidation. I had heard the media outcry (but I was used to that having grown up on the likes of Mortal Kombat and Night Trap) and thought it only fair to try it with an open mind. Bully will no doubt fail to entertain many people who have grown up with the likes of GTA. I think it's appeal ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Rockstar rocks the house!!! (189 words)
by - written on 16/02/09 (Very useful, 8 readings)
Rating:

I have always enjoyed most of the violent games that Rockstar has produced. But this time, I more then like it. I LOVE IT!!! Bully center on Jimmy, a troubled, spoiled juvenile, and his parents get fed up with him being such an ***, so they send him away to Bullworth Academy. There, he tries to get some friends, and his new friends teach him how to get around the daily campus life. The game is somewhat similar to Grand Theft Auto, but without blood, and milder profanity. Unlike the title suggests, this game makes bullying other students at the Academy possible, but definitely does not encourage it at all. If you are caught doing anything bad, a prefect will chase you, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bully (PS2): Buy this sick game (802 words)
by - written on 25/04/08 (Very useful, 95 readings)
Rating:

I've had a Playstation 2 for about eighteen months now, and I've been frankly startled at the varying quality of the games available. For every Grand Theft Auto, there's a Family Guy Video Game. For every Lego Star Wars, there's an Inspector Gadget. And this is about what you'd expect from a console that has been around for quite a few years. I have to say, I expected Bully to be more in the Inspector Gadget mould. Although I've yet to find anything that explicitly links it, it seems - amazingly - to be at least inspired by School Daze (aka Back to School) that first appeared on the ZX Spectrum in the 80s! Although everything about the game is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bully (PS2): Explore the school life at Bullworth Academy! (213 words)

Bully is a game that was developed by the world renound Rockstar group and is also known as Canis Canem Edit. The game itself is a third person action shooter and it was originally released in October 2006. It really is a fantastic game that is another greta addition to the rockstar series. I wasn't sure whether I was going to get it at first but after seeing many of the trailers it persuaded me to give it a try, and I wasn't dissappointed. There is even a scholarship game that is available for the Wii and Xbox 360 and this has some new extras such as 8 new missions. The game itself is set in a very cool map that is of course as the game suggests based on a ...  Read the complete review
