Call of Duty 3 (PS2)

Call of Duty 3 is a World War 2 game for various consoles (PS2 in my case). Throughout the game, there are various tasks that you need to accomplish. The majority of these tasks involve clearing out areas and houses of enemy soldiers, however there are other variations as well. You get to drive tanks, jeeps and even have to be a spotter for targets for tanks in one level. There is a storyline to the game, however you do work for several countries as the game progresses. Call Of Duty 3 is the third installment in the Call of duty series, and was released in 2006. A really interesting concept is used in this game. You follow the route of FOUR different campaigns during the Second World War. The American, the Canadians, the British and the Polish. There are 14 campaign missions, which is a tidy amount, and each mission lasts a tidy amount of time, probably about half hour to forty five minutes each. COD 3, is in my opinion the best pre-modern times shooter game that you can get! In this game you play different levels in different scenarios as different armies, including the Brits, the americans, and the russians. You also get to engage in tank battles, where by you start the level in a tank. Other notably fun levels are two levels in which you get to drive round in a modified british jeep whilst evading german troops and tanks. This game uses a health system where when you are hit by a bullt, the screen goes slightly red, and when you are hit with too many bullets in quick succession you die, but there is no health gauge as such. Call of Duty 3 is a fantastic new addition to the Call of Duty series. Its Gameplay is very diffrent to the first two, it is not the typical 1st person shooter. However the storyline is very realistic and quite historically accurate. The graphics, combined with the immense audio of the game put you directly in the war. Multiplayer is also very good fun.
