Advantages: Best on the machine

Disadvantages: Not as good as Football Manager

You'd be going all the way back to the Amiga to trace the origins of Championship Manager, back then it was a revolution in football gaming as it was so highly detailed and let you control every part of the team you managed. As time went on the Champ Man brand got bigger and was huge on the PC but at somepoint Eidos pulled out of the brand and the games real creator was left in the cold. They created a game simply called "Football Manager" for the PC and it's taken over lives of young guys all over the country.

On the PS2 we have Championship Manager 5. First of all this is the best manager game you can get on the PS2. Thats not saying much as LMA Manager and Premier Manager have all been pretty poor.

Graphics - Well it's not an action game per-say so the graphics are really all just menus and fonts but it's presented very well with all the players names and information all up to date for you to see.

Gameplay - This is essentially a point and click so it's hard to examine gameplay, the interface is very easy to use though and the menus' all load very quickly.

Sound - Nothing really to speak of here other than some back ground music,

Longevity - Well it's not got the addictive streak that Football Manager has but if you like these games and you don't have a PC there's no reason you wouldn't like this one

Summary: Good management game
