Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (PS2)

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe game is one of the best games I have played in ages. It is based around both the book and the film and involves helping Peter, Susan, Edmund and Peter to battle through the ice and blizzards to protect their friends and save Narnia. This is done by tackling problems, searching for items and fighting against the creatures that have invaded the world. I got the game for Christmas and in total it has probably taken me about 30 hours to complete it. Some levels are extremely easy whereas others require a bit of logic and perseverance. The Chronicles of Narnia have always had a warm place in my heart,being from the books, tv series to the awesome movie. So i was a tad worried when i heard they were going to make a game tie in as they usually suck to be honest. Luckily for this one it didn't, the gaming style is very familiar to the Lord of the Rings return of the king game (also a fan) which was great, as it is very simple to pick up and play and doesn't take ages on tutorials etc The games graphics are VERY good and it also features great cut scenes from the epic move to tie the story nicely together. The Chronicles of Narnia the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is an action game for the Playstation 2 developed by Travellers Tales. The game follows the storyline of the movie based on C.S Lewis first Narnia novel with the four bored children discovering a magical wardrobe which transports them to the world of Narnia whilst on holiday in the country. Bueno Vista have yet again got all of their heads together to create a game that offers adventure,challenge and team-work.The graphics are great such as the snow in the forest and the fire anamatronics are stuning.The music to this game is beautiful and I would even go as far to say as heavenly and make you feel involved in this game.The voice overs sound very realistic and like the actual actors did them for the game.This would make the perfect gift for and fan of the film or book.They have also included little extras such as hiding all of the characters from the angry and confused house-keeper.Each character has their own abilities and like the DS game,you are able to ...  Read the complete review
