This game is a a mainly sturdy, combat-heavy platformer with a good hook, but unfortunately it lacks the way its set out.

Ever since the Bandicoot series creator Naughty Dog said goodbye to Crash Bandicoot on the original playstation system, the series has struggled to make more good series. One key problem has been an inability to establish a tone that is consistent and compelling on the part of the short march of developers who have tried to make the Crash Bandicoot series to become much better, but unfortunately have failed miserably. Theres just no more feelings for the Crash Bandicoot him self any more, which has made a long line of forgettable, rubbish, indistinct games.

The game starts by Crash and his friends relaxing in their back yard when suddenly Dr. Neo Cortex shows up in his space ship to kidnap Coco and Aku-Aku. When kidnapped them he leashed deadly monster every where around the town where they are, and figures in his nasty plan to take over the world with dishing out those mutated monsters and seems like a habit for him more than anything else.

The ability owned by Crash and his friends allows you to jack and hop on to these strange mutated monsters, simply by attacking them, and once there dazed you can then jump on there backs and shoulders. It really is dead simple. There are different types for different things such as a fire monster for walking fast fire, a ice monster for walking across ice, a water monster for swimming across water and much much more monsters all with different ability's!

Once you get to know all the basics rules of the game it really is straight forward, simple and so boring. As I said When Naughty Dog left his career of building these games the Crash Bandicoot games have become nearly the worst ever! It really is annoying when all monsters attack you from nowhere, all surrounding you, and you cant defend your self! It really makes the whole game so frustratingly annoying, which makes you just want to turn the whole game and PS2 off and never play it again!

It should take around 9-10 hours to clock in difficulty level, where as probably 3-4 or even less in Easy and medium.

If your thinking that the game might be a whole lot better on different platforms for instance the Wii and X-Box, well your totally wrong. Its basically the same, you know even worser! Especially for the DS, but thats not the point! I have to admit the game is the best on the X-box 360 with the purest textures as well as the best particle effects! But other than that everything else is completely the same to the PS2 version of the game!

How ever the Wii version looks nicer and it looks extremely better on the Wii with HDTV, and so if you dont have a HDTV it wont be any use at all, as I know for sure you would not spend so much money just for the sake of one crappy little game!

I cant be to harsh on the game as everything else simply is ok, or should I say better than nothing. It is a good game really to be honest, but to go into detail like I have done above it really is not a game I would be willing to enjoy, and would rather enjoy a game like GTA IV, even if it was out for the PS2!

I'd have to give this game at least a 2 stars, because a friend of mine says it is reasonably good. But I would not agree with him to be honest! It would be a much better game if Naughty Dog had made the game for sure!

If your PS2 is chipped, a well ok game to download, but if it is not chipped like mine, I would not waste my money at all on it! I traded mine in by the way for a much better game on the same platform!

Summary: 3 stars, not at all a good game.
