I was excited when I bought Cricket 07 because from all the screenshots and everything I had seen it appeared to have got alot better and more stylish. The graphics have got alot better which adds a great deal to the game because with the last one the graphics were dire at some points. Also its interesting how much of a difference having the score in the bottom left hand corner in that attractive looking box makes. So they have done well on the graphics front. The gameplay has changed immensely with the new century stick. It does make you feel alot more involved in the game. But it also makes it very easy to score sixes. i think cricket 07 is a massive improvment on 05, it has a great player database and you can play way more shots when your batting! The controls are easier to master so less frustrating! Meanwhile the graphics are improving hugely and are almost lifelike now. Its nice to have real player names unlike the brian lara games. the main focus point of the game is the ashes you can play the 06/07 series or even the most exciting moments from the 05 series. So players can get injured and you can buy and sell ... Read the complete review

This is the latest attempt to perfect the game of cricket on the PS2 by EA sports and it is a pretty good effort and quite an enjoyable game to play. It is also quite a realistic game as it is not all about smashing the ball about as you do have to be quite patient when playing the longer versions and be prepared to pick and choose your time to play your shots. It does take a little while to get used to the controls as for batting you have to make use of the two analogue sticks to control your shots, the left stick controls your movement and balance at the crease while the right stick is used to select both the type of shot and the power used. Cricket 2007 I have only got this game - Cricket 2008 on a PC, so if what I am about to write is different to what it is on a play station two or a play station three or even one, then i do apologise. I will just be commenting on what I have played on on PC. Right! I think that this game is so much better than the 2005 edition. The gameplay is much better and realistic. The graphics are much improved and are now very good! There are many extra additions. The variations on the statistics pages and the ability to autoplay are absolutely brilliant and are now very good if you ask me! The way you can create players and totally make your own ...
