Advantages: For cricket fans detailed
Disadvantages: Bowling hard to do, easy to win though
Cricket 2007 for the Playstation 2 is a simulation game made by Electronic Arts and released in 2006 and is also available for other systems.
Game play
The game itself is aimed at cricket fans not really the casual gamer, as it tries to simulate the real game as much as possible.
If you do not have much time you can just jump straight in a play a single game or if you prefer you can play the Ashes, national matches or county matches and knock out cups
The main teams in the games are the English and the Australian teams although some international teams are available, without the real names of players as EA does not have the rights to use them.
To make the game at bit easier there is an optional batting gauge which helps with batting, the batting and running is pretty easy although the bowling is not very good as it tends to not do as the option you have selected regularly.
The sounds and the commentary on the game are pretty good and is done by Mark Nicholas and Richie Benaud, but they are limited in what they say and sometimes they say things that are not even happening.
Controls/Graphics
The graphics are acceptable, the pitches look good and you can tell where they are and the cricketers look detailed enough. The controls are pretty good, not to hard to learn
Difficulty
The game is pretty easy to master and it does not take very long for you to learn how to beat the computer so it is fairly easy to complete
Value for Money
Summary: A game for cricket fans and sport fans
