Dead or Alive 2 is a fantastic fighting game, that manages to offer gamers a deeper level of game play than you might have thought at first. In my view it isn’t as good as Soul Calibur, but then nothing is – Dead or Alive 2 claims the honourable place as the second best Dreamcast fighting game, and that is something to be proud of! The creators Tecmo, released this game on Dreamcast before the Playstation 2, so you’d think that Sony’s machine version would have improved graphics over the Dreamcast one, but it doesn’t. Although there is very little in it, the Dreamcast game actually is crisper, more vibrant in colour and has no glitches or ... Read the complete review

Dead or Alive 2 is a fighting series developed by Tecmo, it became Xbox exclusive after this one so this is the only one you'll see on the Playstation 2. Dead or Alive is a basic fighting game, there is a story mode for you to play in but it just seems to be a regular fight sometimes prefaced with a few lines from your fighter, a little disappointing perhaps but better than not having one I guess however I feel they could have done something a little more. The fighting engine is actually really fun and easier to get into than some of the other fighting games out there like Virtua Fighter. Just hitting the buttons at random will get you through some ... This is a great Beat em up game, it is like Tekken, but I think it is better, it dont have the powder... This game is about a story of revenge, to make their destiny come true. To make all means of fighting to go away. There are many characters, and 2 to unlock, I have only Unlocked one, but I know what the other one was... Later in the review I will tell youhow to get them. Ill also give info about the characters and loads of other stuff as well. Dead or Alive 2 is famous for is great fighting, and great storyline and great arenas. You can be playing all this on your own, or with your friends, it is a maximen or 4 players, as you can do tag battle against ... Read the complete review

Dead or Alive 2 had a lot to compete with upon release with Tekken Tag Tournament. Tekken Tag was made out to be the best, probably because the good reputation quality and originality of the previous Tekken games. Plus, the original Dead or Alive was only available on the Dreamcast so gamers may not be that familiar with the game. Despite Tekken Tag being bought by every PS2 owner, Dead or Alive was crowned the best. A well deserved "best" in my opinion. Dead or Alive 2 is a very smooth playing beat 'em up game with stunning highly detailed background fighting areas and colourful, somewhat 'feisty' female characters. The effort that went ... When the Dreamcast arrived on the scene in 1999, there was only one fighting game to have, and that was Soul Calibur. Sure, there was Power Stone, which was a fighting game of a different colour, but in terms of pure 3D polygon prowess, there was no debate. Fast-forward to November 2000, and already there's a battle raging over 3D fighting domination on the PS2. Some players will no doubt run out and snag both Tekken Tag Tournament and Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore. Others will stay loyal the franchise they've loved in past, while still others will give the other game a try. Which you like better is simply a matter of preference, but the fact is that both titles ... Read the complete review
