Advantages: good game
Disadvantages: some bad camera angles
Devil may cry' is quite a weird name for a game, well not really compared to 'Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis' or 'Project: IGI I'm Going In'. Well the name is explained by the simple phrase "The 'devil may cry' for mercy at the feet of Dante (the hero of the game)."
Dante runs a business, which investigates the strange and occult (Which is also called 'Devil may cry'). When a lady comes to him and says that the devil is going to wreak havoc on the earth, once again, he is on the case. One would think that he is quite mad because he is going to fight the devil, but he has his secrets. His secret is that he is the son of the demon knight Sparda, he is half demon and half human. And when he receives certain weapons he can transform into a demon that has demon-like powers.
Sparda was the person who banished the devil and imprisoned him 1000 years before Dante.
The game begins when Dante goes to the castle and the game is quite easy then because there is no lava spiders or evil servants of the devil. You start the game with a pair of pistols and a sword. As the game progresses you acquire other weapons such as 'Ifirit' and 'Alistar'. (Boring you???) The 'Ifirit' is a pair of gauntlets that give the possessor the power of fire and strength. The 'Alistar' is a sword, which has the elemental power of lightening, and it gives you extra speed when you change to your devil form. Along the way you acquire new attacks that make you stronger and that give the game a bit of variety.
This game was given to me as a present, so I didn't buy it. It was bought for me.
It costs about £9.99 form any good games retailer. If it costs any more than this don't buy it, shop around due to the age of the game.
Summary: ok i guess
