      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Golf game aimed at the younger game player.

Whilst letting loose a bunch of animated classic characters on the golf course was never going to be quite like playing the Open at the Belfry this game does make a pretty god effort of making one of the most boring sports around interesting and given some of the awful outfits worn by the professionals Donald’s attire does not really look out of place.

I do like this game as I get to play as my favourite Disney character Donald and pretty much all the main characters are available with the exception of Mickey who takes on the role of commentator which is a strange choice not to have him as a player. There are six different themed courses on which you can play and there are the usual golfing formats available to play the matches such as standard play, skins, team golf where you take alternate shots and a challenge mode which allows you to unlock the opponent you are playing against if you win.

The controls on the game are easy to master and quite familiar to most gold gamers. A three clock digital swing clock is used to control the speed of swing and you are able to alter the height and angle of the swing along with the spin on the ball and of course your club choice will all affect the shot you play.

Putting is equally as simple with the use of a grid system to plan your shot and a predictive system in place to provide a possible outcome for your attempt although obviously this does not always prove totally accurate depending upon the velocity that you use.

Visually this is a very appealing game, the different courses are very bright and well set out and the characters look very realistic and the sound quality is good.

The only real problem with this game is that is does not provide a great deal of challenge and also by current days standards the golf mechanics is a little dated meaning that owners of more recent golf games will probably find it a bit disappointing. If you have children in the right age bracket then it is worth looking out for otherwise it is a pretty average Disney franchise game.

This game can be bought at Amazon for £13.99 new or from £5.50 in the new and used category.
