Dragon quest is a 3D RPG, there is so much to say that I don't even know where to start, but I have to start from somewhere. The Storyline is very well done, talk about the adventures of a group of characters that are searching to stop a curse, the king of the realm has become a horrid green thing, the princess a horse, and you have to help them, while doing so you will meet several other characters that will join your team The graphics is in full 3d and is very nice, encounters are on the stile of final fantasy, you wander around, you don't see anything but you will end up meeting a LOT of enemies and getting experience if you beat them, this only ... Just how big is Dragon Quest in Japan? It's very big indeed – in fact it's something approaching a phenomenon. It's sales figures point to this; in it's battles with Final Fantasy, it has regularly trounced its RPG rival. Dragon Quest VII was the highest-selling PSOne game ever, which is especially impressive as the game was never even released in Europe. Most brilliantly though, there is a law against releasing a new DQ title in Japan on a weekday, for fear that a substantial number of people would skip work or school to play it. An impressive history, and Dragon Quest VIII: Journey Of The Cursed King, the first of the series 'main' titles to be released in ... Read the complete review

An old skool style RPG, where only at churches can you save the game and check how much experience is required to level up. The game's camera can be rotated but you can also see the sights of this immersive world for yourself through first-person view. There are numerous NPCs to talk to, troves of treasure to be discovered, and the cows can be milked too! With not much emphasis placed on puzzles, the dungeons tend to be simplistic in their design. The turn-based battle system is solid and you can change weapon without taking up a turn, which works well with the customisation to be had in allocating the characters' skill points. However, it would have been ... Read the complete review

This is an RPG made by Square Enix whom you might recall as being responsible for the ever popular Finally Fantasy games. £29.99 from Amazon. £32.99 from some retail outlets and I saw it in GAME for £25.99 - so take your pick. It's a 1 Player game - you play as the hero and control the other 3 members of your party too. I haven't finished playing it yet, but I've managed to clock up 59 hours. So its going to last a while. Its suitable for people aged 12 + STORY A land of magic and monsters, an evil long ago suppressed has begun to rise. Trapped in a magical sceptre by seven wizards generations ago, the ... My Mum’s neighbour got this game for her son, (who is 10), for his birthday and asked me to play it so I could teach her son how to. I realised quite early on that her son wouldn’t be able to get on with it yet as some parts of the game are quite complicated and he would get frustrated and annoyed with it. The “12+” label on the front should have given his Mum a clue but it seems those stickers are there to be completely ignored! The official website for Dragon Quest is www.dragonquest.eu.com/english/index.htm. The site is really cool with loads of information about the game and the characters as well as downloads like wallpapers and even a ... Read the complete review
