This is the infamous sequel to DragonBall Z Budokai, in this game there is more characters, better gameplay, and more things to do. There are 29 playable characters, but you only start off with a few. There are many transformations that the Saiyans can go through, and you get them by doing 1 player. 1 player is like a big story mode, you have this map, with routes that you can go, and you can find things like power up, or defence up, or even a DragonBall, by pressing the Square button, and there are stuff that you can pick up by landing in that area like the DragonBall Radar or other things. There are many stages in 1 player mode, and if you get all the ... Read the complete review

Being a Dragon Ball fan and also an avid gamer, you tend to get used to disappointment. Many Dragon Ball games have been released in the west since the anime series finally made it to US and UK screens (albeit in cut down and censored versions) and in every single case they have barely average in quality, in fact most were barely playable, so riddled were they with sloppy and lazy programming. So I honestly wasn't expecting much when I got my copy of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 to play, especially as Budokai 1 was one of those barely average games mentioned above. Dragonball Z Budokai 2 is a fighting game for the Playstation 2 developed by Bandai. The storyline has had some liberties taken with it this time and though the game basically covers the Sayain saga to the Majin Buu saga the game will often introduce unlikely scenarios where villains team up to try and nab the Dragon balls, it's not like it is even well done as the story sequences in the game are so short it is just an excuse to extend the game. A definite step back from the pretty faithful retelling we got in the original Dragonball Z Budokai . The game now takes place on a map which you move around which is another departure from the previous ... Read the complete review

NO then, I am a big big fan of dragonbal-z so I thought to myself, don't even look about the game, just BUY IT. It is rubbish. The characters are mostly just made up crappy things. Pikachu wasn't even in it, which made me fume. The theme tune was nothing like the cartoon. I have seen almost every episode and I collect the cards. Do not get this game, It is rubbish. I can't believe that they can Make a game That is based NOTHING on the real thing. Absolut rubish. I email the game producers all the time and they keep laughing at me and telling me to get a life. The cheek of it ... Read the complete review
