Advantages: Fun, good career and gameplay

Disadvantages: Poor graphics and foot controls

DRIV3R is the follow on game from Driver two - despite a huge amount of criticism and negative reviews this is one of my favourite games for the playstation two.

You play as a cop who goes undercover to infiltrate a car gang - you then basically have to do missions with the gang of criminals and at almost the entire plot the police chase you as they do not know you are undercover.

Graphics - The general graphics of the game can be pretty poor and at the best could be described as okay, even for playstation 2 standards. However, the cut-scenes are amazing and definitely worth watching - the graphics and level of detail in them is simply amazing.

Gameplay - The general driving in a car side to the game is very good, the controls make sense and the driving is both fluent and fun. However, the foot controls and gaming on foot are very poor. Running is strange and the shooting definitely isn't great either.

Levels - Outside of the career you can free-play in three different cities. When you first start Istanbul is still locked, but you can however play in Miami and Nice. All the cities look very different and have completely different cars in them (with none being shared between cities). They are all very large, have lots of unique places and visit and things to see. They all also each have three hidden cars in each city that you can find and unlock.

Cars - There are a huge range of cars from slow trucks to fast sports cars, as well as the three special cars in each city. There are many cars in each city and as I said above they are different in each city.

Weapons - There are a large amount of weapons but they do not feel any different to shoot however there are noticeable differences in their accuracy and the damage that they can do.

Missions - Generally the missions are made and follow the plot line very well, they start of easy and get much more difficult, even the most experienced players will find the later missions challenging.

Overall despite the poor graphics the game is fun to play - the missions have little replay value however you can easily spends hours free-driving around the many different cities visiting places and running from the cops.

Summary: A good game
