Gran Turismo 3 (PS2) ... Turismo essentially set the bar as far as racing games go - back on the PlayStation, it pioneered not only immense gameplay, but photorealistic visuals, and saw through the introduction of the analogue and rumble features in the PlayStation controller. Burnout 3: Takedown (PS2) ... don t usually play driving games but when I first got my ps2 this game came with it so I had a go. My first thought when I started playing it, was the difference between this game and what I thought normal driving games would be like. This seemed to be a very fast and furious game. I like the fact that there are two separate modes, crash and racing. I preferred the racing to the crash mode. The different styles of events make it more entertaining as there are: the eliminators, road rages, face offs and races. The aspect which makes this game better than most, are the takedowns. It was released in connection with the release of the 2003 remake of the original 1969 version of the same name. You can play a varity of different games including; Story mode, free play, stunt driving and circuit races. Story mode-basically as it sounds.
