In the games industry, technology advances at a frightening rate. It is accepted that as technology evolves, so too must gaming series to remain popular – Sonic and Mario making the transition from 2D to 3D platform adventures in the late nineties being a case in point. There are many more examples of this, but in recent history at least, it’s Dynasty Warriors that has changed the most radically. Some may remember the original Dynasty Warriors, though you could be forgiven for not having given it a second glance. It was released on the PSOne way back in early 1997, masquerading as a Tekken-with-weapons kind of affair – it was solid enough, though utterly ... Read the complete review

Imagine you are the commanding officer of an ancient Chinese army, pitted against wave after wave of enemies from another alliance for the land they possess, and the authority over the Far East. In Dynasty Warriors 3, this is everyday life. You play one of 9 (to begin with) historical figures, and have to hack and slash your way past hoards of cannon fodder…I mean highly trained Chinese soldiers. Although you start with only nine different officers, (3 from each alliance), in total there are no less than an astonishing 40 playable characters to unlock. As usual, the character that you play as is significantly stronger than all of the cronies up ... Read the complete review

Firstly I would just like to say hello to everyone again as this is my first op that I have written for a while. I got myself a new pc now so there should be no problems for me now (I hope). Well this op is about Dynasty Warriors 3 on the PS2. The first thing that I want to mention is that this game is basically a much improved version of Dynasty Warriors 2. In saying that it is also a 3d hack and slash game but compared to it's prequel this looks lovely. The problem is that with those extra looks and combined with the fact that you could be battling over 50 opponents on screen at once causes a few problems. The framerate suffers slightly which slows the ... Read the complete review

Never before have i seen so many people to beat on screen at once. Dynasty Warriors has been around for a little while and this incarnation (Number 3) is definately no exception to the rules. A fairly basic hack and slash fighting adventure game set in old medievil chinese dynasty. There a large selection of characters to choose from at the beginning and many more to unlock around 40 i think. Theres around 20 levels all basically large scale or small scale battle settings thats involve 2 forces and a number of troops, and a certain type of scenario. For example you may have to chase down a specific generall in a certain amount of time, or you may have to invade an enemy ... Read the complete review

Opening Hardcore Slasher game fueled by you being the generals. Take on the many different types of armies, and prove yourself to be the best and the most feared. Go around the arena's collecting items, and beating enemies to a pulp. Take the war into your own hands, with your allies. 1 Player The 1 Player Mode, you can do a few things, chalange which is like endurance, kill as many people as you can, without dying. Then there is Time attack, is defeating all the enemies in a very quick time. There is Free Mode, is otherwords what you have done in Masou Mode, you can play in arenas that you have unlocked in Masuo mode, and characters and other ... Read the complete review
