ESPN Winter X-Games (PS2)

ok if u r looking for a realistic snowboarding game u got it! But if ure looking for something to just bash at with a few mates on a rainy afternoon, I dont think this will be your cup of tea. Graphics are really sleak and smooth, with the snow looking very good. The speed of the game is a little slow compared to SSX but it is a competely different game. There are plenty of different modes including the winter X-games themselves. 2 player mode isnt so hot but its ok if u r a snowboarding freak. First: a disclaimer. I am an avid snowboarder, but not a snowboard geek. Winter X-games is not SSX, and is designed to appeal more to snowboarders, rather than arcade racing fans. My impressions: Graphics are not as good as SSX, but are still pretty good 7/10. The big let-down are the bails/crashes. To say they are lame is a major understatement. After seeing what can be done in Tony Hawke's and SSX, they really should have put some more effort into this aspect of the game. Especially since everyone will be useless to start with.
