I've always enjoyed watching Formula 1 on TV and have played a number of these F1 games.

F1 2001 has improvements over the other games in the series but it still far from the best it could be.

You get all the current F1 tracks to race around. You can practice on a track or take a championship.

The realism of the game isn't too hot. You never seem to be able to cause damage to your car when you bash into the side of the track or the other cars, I want to be able to cause mayhem if I wish!

The graphics aren't too hot either. They are blocky and the detail in the background is sloppy.

Handling of the F1 cars isn't sharp and precise gear changes and braking will be required to get around the track without spinning off.

The best part of the game has to be the sound effects and flying past your opposition down the track. The acceleration of the F1 cars sounds brilliant.

Summary: not really worth it
