The faster you set off more fireworks the bigger your chain and the better your score. There is also a white like firework allowing you to select a different colour within a sequence. Whilst playing through the game at the end of each level you can save your reply, and watch your fireworks from vairous angles. Which is pretty darn cool! Premium Review Fantavision (PS2): Fantavision (270 words)

Fantavision was one of the first titles available for the playstation 2 on release day. Now i bought this game not really knowing too much about it. Apart from its a great visual looking game playing about with fireworks. Now the concept of the game and the pre play reviews seem to like the idea, and so did i. On launch day i got home and got fantavision on the go straight away. Right the game is a puzzler, and the idea is that you catch, well select numerous amounts of the same colour of firework before setting them off. Premium Review Fantastic In Flashes? (380 words)
by - written on 15/05/08 (Very useful, 47 readings)
Rating:

*Please note that my review and rating does not take into account the multiplayer aspect of this game.* Fantavision is a puzzle game involving catching fireworks of the same colour before setting them off (flashing). Flashing can trigger off induced explosions in other fireworks which, along with fireworks being set off in quick succession, contributes to a chain. From the offset, Fantavision might not appear to be a clinical puzzler, as it's not easy to gauge visually where the flashing begins and where it ends. Also, as there is much to consider on screen at one time because of the different varieties of fireworks to take into account, players ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fantavision (PS2): create your own fireworks displayon your PS2 (345 words)

Ahh... my chance to make my own fireworks display, I thought to myself as I picked up a rental copy of Fantavision off the shelf of my local Blockbuster video store. After paying £3.50 for my two nights rental. I went home, fired up my PS2 and bung the game in. My first thoughts were, now this is original. I've not played anything like this before. Fanavision is a puzzle game whih is a cross between missle command and tetris. Setting off the fireworks was a simple matter of swinging a sight linge around the screen and using the X button to catch the fireworks and the O button to set them off. After playing with the game for an ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Your in a Fanta--cy if you think this is good!!!! (231 words)

With all the hype surrounding the launch titles for the PS2, it was though by some that they may no be as good as the hype. With 26 titles, not any of the games are 'A' grade games. Sony added to try and make a launch title, which you would have thought would show off the real power of the console. No, ala Fantavistion, a big colourful mess. This is one of the first puzzle games for the PS2, which are usually games which keep people very addicted, not able to put the game down, but this isn’t the case with this one. In Fantavision, you're set in a non-linear motion on a certain path. During that path, firework flares go up of different ...  Read the complete review

Fantavision (PS2): Hey joe come over fireworks tonight (391 words)
by - written on 08/07/01
Rating:

Coming up with original gaming ideas is no mean feat these days. Virtually every aspect of reality and imaginable fiction has been turned into playable pixels, from driving tanks through war torn countries, to managing the traffic system of sprawling cities. Can there possibly be anything new left? Well, yes, but you're not going to believe it. Give 100 monkeys 100 typewriters and 50 years and it's still highly unlikely that they'd come up with this idea. All kneel before the world's first (and last?) 'Firework Management Sim'. No, that's not a printing error, this really is a game based around organising firework displays, ...  Read the complete review
