This game is one of my favourites in the Fifa range, even with the improvements in the latest versions. The gameplay is relatively simple with 8 directions in which the player can move and tricks are very easy to do with the rotation and movement of the right analog stick. The teams are all rated fairly accurately inthe game and this is an important aspect that is often overlooked in football games. New to this version of fifa is the 'Be A Pro' mode this has potential to be very good and enjoyable but unfortunately it lacks invention and ultimately ends up to be very frustrating. This mode is where you take control of one player, or create your ... Read the complete review

I am a big fan of the FIFA vs Pro Evo battle, I personally can't choose, I'm going to sit on the fence, I like both equally. Both games have aspects that are better than their opponent. To the matter in hand, this game is fantastic, the realistic edge to the play has really been brought on in this version. You really get a good feel for playing proper football, not just the gung-ho style of old football simulations. The in-depth database of clubs and players is great. Pick a team and take on the world. Customise your team, formation and appearance and perfect a style of football that no-one else can cope with. The official competitions are all there too, ... Read the complete review

The bright floodlights, the roar of a manic crowd baying for the oppositions blood. Two teams emerge from the tunnel ready to commence in the ultimate sporting battle, basking in the warm glow of adoring stardom. Eying eachother over, calculating thier opponents weaknesses, knowing that in the next ninety minuites they themselves will become either victorious heros or humiliated villains brutally torn apart by the worlds media. Make or break. Sound dramatic? Well it should, FIFA is back my pig skin kicking friends! Back in a big way and that's exactly how each game feels, dramatic. Once again the fully liscenced team listings return, as do the ... Read the complete review

So another year another battle between the two giants of football games; Pro Evo and Fifa. Personally I've always been a fan of Fifa. Right from around 2003 I have brought the Fifa games every year and Fifa 08 was no exception. Fifa 08 was released in September of 2007 and was manufactored by EA Sports with an age rating of 3+. It is available on Playstation 2, 3 and PSP, Xbox, PC, Nintendo DS and Wii and for mobiles. However on both Nintendo DS and mobiles there are less teams, kits, stadiums and game modes due to the limitations of the machine's storage medium, whilst Playstation 3 and Xbox feature an improved game engine with superior ... I would say this is the best Football game i have ever played and would say it is a must buy for any football fan. It is very realistic in game play terms (unlike some of the earlier fifa games i have played) In that you can't just run with the ball and expect to score, you have to bring tactical elements in to the game and utilise each players skills. Fifa 08 gives you the chance to play as a single player in the team for the first time instead of just controlling the whole team. This brings a new exciting aspect to the game as you not only have to think about scoring but also carrying out the players set tasks in each game. This game is ideal for die hard ...
