Fifa hit the stores many years ago and as far as I can remember around 1993 but Im not sure but any way each year I got better as I owned it on my mega drive. I thought that it was worth buying each year so I continued to purchase the game each year. The mega drive went out of fashion and the Playstation came to the rescue. The first Fifa came out which I bought for the Playstation was Fifa 98 Road to World Cup. The first time I played it I thought things could only get better as it was a good game. The next instalment from EA was Fifa 99. I bought this for the Playstation and I was given it for PC. It got a bit better from 98 and I loved playing it all the ... Read the complete review

FIFA soccer, to anyone that enjoys soccer games, is synonymous with the best. Ever since the series first incarnations on the SNES and Genesis, EA has been delivering top-notch soccer action. What everyone was eager to find out was, can Electronic Arts bring their franchises to a next generation console with the same impact that SEGA has with their 2k series? The answer is yes and no. The first thing that people seem to be looking at when it comes to the PS2 is the graphics, so we'll start there. From the first moment the camera zooms around the stadium, flying by players that are chatting, stretching, and passing a ball around, this game looks impressive. The ... Read the complete review

Having bought a PS2 after the Christmas hype I was able to obtain a few games which I had already listed down a few games in which I’d thought of buying. Being a keen sportsman a football game was high up on my list. I had two choices to pick from, ISS or FIFA, well having owned previous games from both manufactures I decided to pick FIFA, this was confirmed by a recommendation from a friend. As I first started to play I really enjoyed it, the graphics were good, the game play was slick and the reality was all there. Well I have now had my PS2 for well over a month and must admit that FIFA is certainly not my favourite by far. I have some other good tiles ... Read the complete review

The Fifa franchise has been going now for quite some time and yes, another year another game as far as the EA Sports camp is concerned. Recent form hasn’t been quite so healthy and many football game connoisseurs still prefer the playability of the International Superstar Soccer (ISS) series. The big bonus with the EA titles is that they pay out the big bucks for the official licences and that’s why in their latest offering, Fifa 2001, you have access to 17 leagues and over 50 teams – pretty impressive by anyone’s standards. As we all know though, ‘official’ titles with all of the sponsorship deals etc ... Read the complete review

Well this is an opinions page isnt it? Personally I dont like the FIFA series anymore. It used to be the best there was but now it has been beaten all ends up by ISS Pro Evolution. For presentation you cant beat FIFA I have played the PS2 version of this game and it looks wonderful. The extra little touches really make the experience feel like a football match on TV. So why dont I like it? Well it doesnt really feel like you are in control of a football team the flicks and touches are played with no real skill and the way that you can hammer the sprint button endlessly and beat the opposition every time is pointless.
