FIFA Football 2004 (PS2)

Fifa 2004 is an amazing bargain. This game has all the basics of the FIFa line that you need without the intense complications of the latest versions. I find that in the newest versions a good player isn't who can strategize the best. It is all about who knows the most butons, who knows the most tricks, and not about who is the best passer or shooter. In this version the buttons are still somewhat simple without sacrificing too much graphics or game features. As a staunch fan of Pro Evolution Soccer , I've never been hooked onto the Fifa Bandwagon. Sure I always give them a chance and having sampled the latest FIFA on the next Gen I would have to say it surpasses the Next Gens Pro Evo. But this was back in 2004, at this point I think EA realised they would have to change things even if they weren't quite sure how to. In this one they went for the option that Pro Evo didn't provide, A full career mode. Yes PES had the Master League but with limited feel and using points instead of money, the realism wasn't in it.
