As I bought this game for purely fun and going online to challenge the whole world to football matches, I feel this is one of the best FIFA games so far. The only one I thought was close to it within the whole FIFA games was FIFA 99, back in the PSone days. The game now has more official leaguesand team licences than any other football game. It makes Pro Evolution Soccer look like the kid who was picked last in a school football game during lunchtimes. To be exact, FIFA Football 2005 has 18 leagues, 38 national teams and over 11,000 real players. SO WHAT'S NEW WITH THIS GAME? The first thing that's new with this game is the new move, called First ... Read the complete review

Whilst the Fifa - Pro Evolution Soccer debate rages on, with some fans preferring the former and seemingly a greater recent shift of fans towards the latter, an oldie, but goodie, Fifa 2005 still reigns superior in the memory. Whilst of course, bigger and better (supposedly) versions have been released since, this game still has it all. Firstly, the graphics were a drastic improvement on any previous Fifa instalments, but it is the sheer gameplay genius that makes this game a great. With a superb first touch feature, using the right analog stick to trap or flick incoming passes, allowing yourself to gain extra space, is a move that even eludes the most recent ... When I first brought Fifa I thought this is just going to be another rubbish fifa game just with 2005 written on the packaging. But when I got home I was proved wrong. First off let’s talk about the things that haven't changed. The free kicks are still superior to any other football game, even that of Pro Evolution, with ultimate placement and spin. The replays and camera angles are also fairly complex and quality; letting you play the match from any angle you could dream of, what more could you ask for. The atmosphere of Fifa is also amazing, especially when walking on to the pitch, as the graphics are amazing, just some of the player’s faces are ... Read the complete review

With so many Football games on the market it can be hard for a newcomer to decide on which one to get. Luckily I have experience with these football computer games and I have very well acqaunted with the FIFA series in particular. This is because I have had the most games from them. The advertising is a strong part of the brand and in 2005 they had three well known footballers on the front cover, Patrick Vieira, Fernando Morientes and Andrey Shevchenko. This enhances their reputation with a long line of top players on the cover in the past. There is a great training setup that has been improved on since the last series. Even though you still have ... Read the complete review

This is a question i asked myself when deciding which one of these two football games to buy on the playstation 2. As i couldnt make up my mind i ended up buying the both of them. The 1st game of the 2 that i bought was Fifa a big fan of ea sports and fifa right back to the maga drive days. I had never found a football game that could rival it or even come close to it so tfifa 2005 already had an advantage. I pretty much played it non stop for 2 months perfecting my skills on the training ground taking it into friendlies then making that step up into career mode 15 yrs of playin cthe matches combined with running your squad making tactical changed swapping injured ...
