Fifa 2005!! or Pro Evolution soccer (FIFA Football 2005 (PS2))

Advantages: Fifa is better all in one play and manage game Disadvantages: PES is a better arcade game
This is a question i asked myself when deciding which one of these two football games to buy on the playstation 2. As i couldnt make up my mind i ended up buying the both of them. The 1st game of the 2 that i bought was Fifa a big fan of ea sports and fifa right back to the maga drive days. I had never found a football game that could rival it or even come close to it so tfifa 2005 already had an advantage. I pretty much played it non stop for 2 months perfecting my skills on the training ground taking it into friendlies then making that step up into career mode 15 yrs of playin cthe matches combined with running your squad making tactical changed swapping injured players juggling with fatigue, and getting the right blend of player. to be honest the managment side is very poor compared to the more managerial games for the pc such as the legendry Championship manager. But as a games console games it was ok but the playing side more than made up for that. The playability and addictiveness of the games is brilliant with new skills one touch football, thru balls etc......The graphics are very detailed with players faces, kits, shirt sponsors and stadiums all spot on made this game a delight to play. Then onto the challenger Pro Evolution Soccer 4. Id never played one of the previous editions so was not sure wot to expect. Like fifa it has a career mode called the masters league where you manage a team in league and cup competition. Not as detailed af fifa player and team database are limited only top english and a handful of european league teams to choose from and one annoying thing due to copywrite i guess you dont get the correct team names instead of Arsenal you have North London and so on..... Although it can be edited it still apears in match commentry as North London where as fifa had all english leagues as well as all scottish, German, Italian, French etc.....You also dont have the correct competition names no sponsors on the shirts. The players are similar to their real life models and the stadiums are very good. But its the playability which some people say is the most important and i think it is fantastic much more enjoyable than Fifa smooth graphics variation of tactics matchplay and skills, A real Joy to play and since playin Pro Evolution i have not yet gone back to Fifa. So my verdict is that if you want all round game play and realisti managment side then Fifa 2005 is for you but as far as matchplay addictivness and fun goes Pro Evolution Soccer 4 comes out on top!
